What you need
- Paper
- Crayons
- A low table/chair
Benefits
- This supports your child’s fine and gross motor skills, and is a little bit of a twist on classic mark-making.
- Your child will be using their hand-eye coordination to make marks on the paper, stretching their body out and challenging their grip of the crayons.
The experience
Cover the bottom of your table/stool/chair in paper.
Then model laying under the chair, reaching up with your arms to make marks on the paper.
You can make beautiful art, whilst laying down and getting a good stretch in and feeling entertained!
You can extend this activity by wrapping paper around the legs of your chair and making marks all over the cube.
